ORNL collaborates with the Center for Plastics Innovation, a DOE Energy Frontier Research Center led by the University of Delaware, to address plastic waste challenges through new innovations. Together, researchers are developing methods to upcycle plastic waste into useful products. These advancements could simplify processing by removing the need to pre-sort plastics, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
