ORNL, TPI Composites’ Rhode Island production facility, and the University of Maine are partnering to advance 3D printing for large-scale composite wind blades. The University of Maine is a leader in additive manufacturing and wind energy technology. ORNL is contributing its recognized expertise in additive manufacturing, carbon fiber technology, and materials science to support the advancement of this leadership and to help position TPI to put this technology into practice.
